8. Tournament groups and entry fees:

 

Tournament A is open for players rated 2000 and higher. Entry fee:

100 PLN or 25 euros; players under 18 and over 60 years old: 80 PLN or 20 euros.

 

Tournament B is open for players rated  below 2000. Entry fee:

80 PLN or 20 euros, players under 18 and over 60 years old: 60 PLN or 15 euros;

 

9. System of Play:

ęłęó9 rounds, Swiss System. The tournaments will count for the FIDE rating. 

Group A: 90 min with an increment of 30 seconds per move;

Group B: 90 min per player;

 

10.Prizes:

Remarks:

Prizes are not divided.

Not more than 2 prizes can be given to a player. If he wins more prizes, he receives the 2 highest. If the value of the prizes is equal, the player receives (if applicable) prizes in the following order:

1        for the final place

2        for the best girl (in as young group as possible)

3        for the best boy (in as young group as possible)

4        for the best player born 1947 or earlier

5        for the best woman

6        for the best player without rating

7        for the best place in rating groups (in as low rating group as possible)

 

All prizes are shown before taxes, the income tax of 10% will be deducted. According to the Polish law all prizes below 760 PLN are free of taxation.

 

11. Applications and fees:

Application should be submitted to:

ATTENTION!

Applications should be sent by the 8th of July 2007.  

Applications submitted on the 9-15 of July - entry fees rise by 20 PLN (5 euro)

Applications submitted on the 16-19 of July - entry fees rise by  40 PLN (10 euro)

Applications submitted on the 20 of July. - entry fees rise by 60 PLN (15 euro)

 

Payment:

 (please clearly state which players the payment concerns)

 

2        at the cash desk of MKS "Polonia" Warsaw, 6 Konwiktorska street, 00-206 Warsaw, from Monday to Friday 12:00 - 17:00.

 

3        on the 20 of July 2007 from 13:00 till 15:00 at the Sport Hall in Grodzisk, 3a Westfala street. 

 

12. Verification:

The list of the participants will be regularly updated and published on the website  www.poloniachess.pl , and the final list will be posted up for the verification by the players on the 20 of July 2007 in the playing hall at 4 PM.

 

13.Special Conditions:

1        free participation: Grandmasters and Women Grandmasters if applied by 8.07.2007.

2        free accomodation from 20.07.2007 till 28.07.2007 in a single room: 5 highest seeded players if applied by 8.07.2007

3        free accomodation from 20.07.2007 till 28.07.2007 in a double room: 10 players with the start numbers from 6 to 15 if applied by 8.07.2007.

 

14. Hotels:

Each participant may choose any hotel.

The official hotel is the Holiday Resort in Grzymek near Grodzisk (10 km from the playing hall). The organizer will provide free bus transfer from the official hotel to the playing hall and back. The number of seats is limited. The order of entries decides.

 

Attention! More details concerning the accomodation will be given in the 2nd Statement.

 

15. Insurance:

The players have to insure themselves for health and accident risk.

16. Final notices:

THE FINAL INTERPRETATION OF THE GENERAL INFORMATION BELONGS TO THE ORGANIZER.
